Camp Highlights/ Photos

Well we are back from Camp! We had the greatest time! The Lord moved mightily upon all who attended Foundation Camp this year.

Some highlights:

Anthony and Dalton accepted the Lord as their Savior!
Trevor Woolwine felt a call from the Lord to full time ministry as a pastor!
Sam Mallory felt a call to ministry as a worship leader!
Alannie Marshall senses that the Lord wants her to be a pastor's wife!

Everyone made significant breakthroughs spiritually! We all were honored by the Lord's presence at every worship service. Please pray that the students will continue the spiritual momentum that began at camp. WE look forward to seeing everyone at church this Sunday!

Tuesday/ Wednesday Camp Highlights

We have enjoyed Great Preaching on Tuesday morning and night. The fruit of it is two salvations from our group!! Praise the Lord! Dalton and Anthony went forward and accepted Christ as their Savior after John preached on the rich young ruler from Mark 10:13. The main thrust of his message was the 3 fundamental aspects of man's response to the gospel. He stressed surrendering our intellect, emotion, and will to Jesus. It was so beautiful seeing so many students surrendering to the call of our Lord.

Please pray for our students. The need for a deeper walk with God is the focus of our camp. May God grant this in each student.

We have enjoyed the great praise music and worship. Tonight the contemporary Christian artist Echoing Angels are giving us a concert so it should be a blast! Rockin the world for Jesus and suffering for Christ at the beach, See ya!

Honk if you Love Jesus!

Here We Go!

We are here!!! Foundation Camp 2009!

We arrived safely @ 2:30pm on Monday. Camp is excellent! We were all very tired but excited to be here at Foundation Camp 2009. Camp is on the beach this year an Hilton Head Island, SC.

Some highlights from the first day:

Elizabeth had a great quote on our way down - "What country are we going to?" It was priceless! We stopped at Bojangles for breakfast and McDonald's for lunch. Camp is right on the beach and as soon we checked into our rooms, we headed straight for the beach!

We had a great time relaxing, hunting for sand dollars, swimming, playing a vigorous game of keep away with a soccer ball. We then headed for dinner where we had chicken, vegetables, bread, and banana pudding for dessert.

The first service that night followed and John Welborn challenged us all by defining what a "Christian" should look like. The text was 2 Corinthians 5:17. Everyone at camp was challenged to evaluate their own relationship to Christ.

Please pray for our youth as they apply the Word to their lives. We had many who made decisions to follow the Lord with all their hearts. Pray that we would all be open to the Holy Spirit's leading.

Pictures will be posted later today, so keep checking back!
