Old News-Putt putt

We had an awesome time playing putt putt golf down at Westlake! The winner of the game was Pastor Mike, but the youth winner was Sam Mallory! Congratulations everyone for doing such a great job and having fun!

Wet n Wild

We had an awesome time at Wet N Wild on Saturday, August 21! We rode tons of rides, ate a picnic lunch, and rode even more rides! Little did we know that it was Christian Youth Day! (And no, we were not aware of the fact!) We had around 18 people including chaperones.

YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN UP AND PAY $10 BY SUNDAY, JULY 25TH!!!

WE WILL LEAVE AT 7AM AND RETURN AT 11PM

Locker Rentals are available for a full day. The rental rate for a full day is $9.00. There are also large lockers available for rent. The rental rate for a full day large locker is $13.00.

Students will need to bring money for snacks, drinks, and dinner on the way home (The amount of money is at your discretion).

Wednesday night, meet at 5pm at church. We will be going to Bridgewater for putt putt. $ 5.00 per person. We will return at 8pm.

World Changers Mission Trip- Birmingham, AL

We went to World Changers Birmingham this week! It was an amazing experience for the 10 people that went on this trip. The focus of the week was being Unhindered. Nothing holding us back in our lives for Christ. Through the blood, sweat, and tears of hard work and the tests of endurance, we all grew in Christ. From 7 am to 4 pm every day we fixed roofs and painted everything imaginable on the outsides of houses. I believe that He really taught us all patience, perseverance, and renewed a love for the lost in our hearts. The concert of prayer, which was on Thursday night, was an awesome service. We all gave up hindrances in our lives at the foot of the cross. A rough rock, which represented a hindrance, was replaced with a smooth one, showing that we were different and ready to serve Him fully. Jesus made Himself real to our youth group. Not only that, but we grew as a group as a whole. He drew us together by drawing us to Him. Here is some of the success that was achieved through this trip;
147 gospel presentations, 3 accepted Jesus as Savior, 2 recommitted lives, 21 wanted more info, 52 requested prayer, 114 tracts accepted! Praise God! I would like to thank the church body of Morgans Baptist for supporting this trip. We may not have been able to have gone without you.

Metamorphosis 2010

Metemorphosis was a blast! The Lord really moved during the weekend of March 5-7, 2010! Our youth went down to Durham, NC and encountered the Lord during an excellent Disciple Now weekend. Our students enjoyed great fellowship with our host church, Gorman Baptist Church in Durham.

We had an excellent study in our groups on the Rivalry for our lives between the world and the Lord. The students were grouped in homes where MS guys, HS guys, MS girls, HS girls where they fellowshipped and focused on the Word of God together.

The students all partnered together to make meals with Stop Hunger Now. We made over 80,000 meals for the people of Haiti! Praise the Lord! Check out this ministry - www.stophungernow.org



We enjoyed great preaching corprately by Nathan Smith, worship by Seth Condrey at Ebeneazor Baptist Church. Many of our students were convicted to live for God and surrender their lives to ministry! Praise the Lord! Our students also were convicted to reconcile with each other and start loving each other as the Lord has commanded us as Disciples! The Lord is so Awesome! It was a great weekend! Can't wait till next time!

Metamorphosis 2010

When: March 5-7, 2010

What: Metamorphosis 2010 is a 3 day Disciple Now weekend in Durham, NC.

Metamorphosis is a Disciple Now event you don’t want to miss. There will be small group Bible studies, great corporate worship, Pizza, bowling, and a mission project to help the starving in Haiti.

Host homes... We will be staying in Host Homes provided by Gorman Baptist Church. Gorman is my home church in Durham. The host home merely provides a place for the students to have Bible study, hang out and sleep in between weekend activities.

This is a great weekend for our youth group to bring friends who don’t know the Lord.

We need students to sign up by January 31,2010!!!

Cost: NONE!!!!.

· Students will only need to bring money for snacks and one dinner on the trip down to Durham.

Morgans Baptist Youth

The Youth Service was Awesome!

The Youth Service was a great success! The Lord blessed us all with His presence and the worship experience was heavenly! Our students served our Lord in Scripture reading, song, and skits. The service was well attended with around a 100 people in attendance. I believe all that attended left with a blessing. We are praying about doing another service soon! Thank you Lord for allowing us to bask in your marvelous light!!
